Stan Dishong & the '37 Scout dragbike

Stan Dishong is probably best known for the "HOG" : his terrific double overhead cam Panhead.

In the early 50's he started the quarter mile career on this Indian Scout, it carried a big innovation: in 1953 Stan vulcanized a flat strip of rubber onto the rear tire.......the first dragbike racing slick was born!
